Obama, You Scare Me

This letter was written by Lou Pritchett, former VP at Proctor & Gamble. I also acknowledge that Snopes has been accused by forum members here of being part of some Liberal plot.

Dear Barack Hussein Obama:

You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me.

You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you. You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support. You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American. You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll. You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don't understand it at its core.

You scare me because you lack humility and 'class', always blaming others. You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail. You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the 'blame America' crowd and deliver this message abroad. You scare me because you want to change America to a European style country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector. You scare me because you want to replace our health care system with a government controlled one. You scare me because you prefer 'wind mills' to responsibly capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves. You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world. You scare me because you have begun to use 'extortion' tactics against certain banks and corporations. You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals. You scare me because you will not openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people. You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient. You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you do. You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaughs, Hannitys, O'Relllys and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view. You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing. Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years.

OMG, Anonymous, I heard that very same thing last night on the radio about that Alan guy that actually works for the EPA and how they were trying to surpress the fact that he says the global warming thing is not true and just an economic mess for us! Why are they so afraid of the truth in this government?????

Tis, your Alan guy is not a scientist but rather an economist as stated in the FOX report that Anonymous posted. So I guess an economist knows more than 2500 scientists in 31 countries. As usual FOX news is grasping at straws. All the Democrats have to do is read this forum to come to the conclusion that this bi-partisan crap has to stop. It's time to move the program and put the Republicans in their rightful place, on the bench.

Enjoy your time in power, it will end especially when the American people start to hear and digest the Cap and Trade nonsense.

Well, maybe the article said it but that is not what they said on the radio. They said he was a scientist and even said what schools he went to and what degrees he had.

Yeah right, in this decade the Republicans have shown their ability to run this country into the ground, and as the Democrats take over a country in serious trouble all the Republicans do is attack rather than cooperate. The Democrats have to realize this, focus on their mission and leave the Republicans on the side of the road. No more reaching across the aisle, it's as wide as the Grand Canyon.

Not so fast. Before you dims pat yourselves on the back chew on these facts for awhile.

Bill Clinton who you praise so much had a Republican congress and you claim things were good under his administration. George W who you hate so much had a Democratic congress and continue to point out how bad he was. Now we have a dim president and a dim congress, get the picture yet where this country is headed?

Bush never had a Democratic Congress. From 06 to 08 he had 49 Democratic Senators and 2 Independents who caucused with the Democrats. I hardly call that a Democratic Congress. Lieberman always voted with Bush on Iraq and the cloture rule often interfered with the Democrats.
I love it when folks blame Clinton for Bush's mistakes. Nothing like deferring blame, is there?

Bush suffered the consequenses of clinton letting OBL slip through his hands while he was busy doing imoral things in the oval office. I love it when dims blame Bush for clinton mistakes.

Have you looked into Cap and Trade yet? When you do that should scare the dim pant's off of you.

Once again, check your facts. It was never verified that the Sudan offered up Osama bin Laden in 1996 and he wasn't indicted for anything in this country until 1998, so there was no warrant out for him. It's all in the 9/11 commission report and I guess you're now going to say that was a crock because that's what Republicans usually do. By the way, the Chair of the 9/11 commission was a Republican.

Yup it is all a crock, typical dim that cannot admit the truth. I noticed you had no comment about the Republican party that made things so great during the Clinton administration, imagine that.

If you want to discuss, discuss, but stop insulting the users. Anonymous posting is on its last legs.

Like I am the only one insulting and trying to intimidate others, give me a break X. You are correct though it is getting old discussing how this country is going to hell in a hand basket with several people who can only see one side of the situation. Remember I am a registered Democrat but have an open mind and weigh the facts before making a decision, not just go with everything the chosen one is ramming down out throats.

I would love to hear your twist on the Cap and Trade disaster X.

I think Cap and Trade is a non-starter, personally. However it was part of both major party platforms this past campaign. McCain was in favor of it, now he isn't, I can't say I'm shocked.

I don't think it's going to drive us into any deeper hole than any other failed policy.

As to the "only see one side of anything" argument, you really should read the threads more deeply. There's quite a bit of debate, indicating that you can read views from multiple sides of an issue. You'll also see some nuance if you look carefully enough.

If you're a registered Democrat, what's with all the "typical Dims" bullshit? Or are you registered as a Democrat so you can say "Even I, a Registered Democrat, am scared as hell of this guy"? Or, are you not a registered Democrat? Personally, it doesn't matter to me what your deal is, you have to vote your conscience at the end of the day.

I personally would be very likely to vote Republican if they were:

a:) fiscally conservative again
b:) Not religious fanatics

I'd love to see both, but when you see legislators introducing such blatantly unconstitutional resolutions as this, and trying to legislate away equal civil rights, I just can't do it.

The first person who says "You want fiscal responsibility, but social indifference from our government? I've met you, you're a Libertarian!", well, I might have to punch that person in the throat :-)

2000 McCain seemed to fit this somewhat well, 2008 McCain took a huge orange Crazy Pill and lost any credibility he had with me.

x, I do have to say, if you are going to reprimand Anonymous, you should reprimand Poppa. I think their comments are about equal.
I think you really need to study cap and trade. I was listening to them read it and it is a horrible, horrible bill and will destroy this country. I am really fearful!

I'm not trying to reprimand anyone outright really. I have no rules here, and I have no rules for a reason. I'm just trying to head off any complaints at the pass. No one's complained to me about anything thus far, but I've run several forums over the last 18 years or so, so I know what could happen.

That's why I asked about people's opinions on anonymity in commenting, because if you guys are OK with it, so am I. I have only deleted one comment since starting this, and it was at the request of someone who wasn't a member.

I'm a firm believer in: It's the Internet, thin skinned people don't do well here.

"...It was never verified that the Sudan offered up Osama bin Laden..."

It's in Clinton*s own words on a reporter's recorder at a Long Island Association fund-raising speech. http://www.papillonsartpalace.com/clintASSon.htm

If you'd listened to Hannity on the radio, you'd have heard Clinton*s own words every day for weeks—and it was more than once that Sudan offered OBL up.

(Instead of repeating the lie).

As the loyal forum member who was the one and only one to ever have his forum post deleted on this site, you had a valid reason Chris, although the person appeased by the deletion publicly contradicted his own reasons for requesting my post's deletion in, of all places, the Boston Globe.
As for rules, there are two Wolfeboro area forums. One has a rule for everything and then there's this site with no rules. One forum (this one) has on-going lively discussions and the other's been nearly dead. That must prove something.
I voted in your poll. Thanks for asking us.

PTW, the recording doesn't come over and I've listened to it once before. I remember it as barely audible and clear. I guess you put all your marbles on that alleged recording of Clinton rather than the 9/11 report. Try to find what charges we had lodged on OBL in 1996, but don't look to hard because there weren't any. You believe what you want, but in the end 9/11 happened well into Bush's Presidency and he never accepted any blame for it. Blaming Clinton is a pathetic copout.

http://www.infowars.com/saved%20pages/Prior_Knowledge/Clinton_let_bin_la...

Clinton's failure to grasp the opportunity to unravel increasingly organized extremists, coupled with Berger's assessments of their potential to directly threaten the U.S., represents one of the most serious foreign policy failures in American history.

The Clinton administration and the 9/11 commission say this is hogwash. I remind you the 9/11 commission was a bi-partisan panel headed up by a Republican.

Bill Clinton himself said that the 9-11 commission report was a political document, you can watch it here.

http://crooksandliars.com/2006/09/24/fox-clinton-interview-part-1-osama-...

Bill Clinton says a lot of things in that interview that blows your theory out of the water. Watch it again.

The difference betwee you and is I do not have a theory, I go on facts. His comment about the 9-11 report that you keep hanging your hat on are very interesting. Here are a few more facts for you.

http://www.nytimes.com/2005/08/17/international/asia/17osama.html

Clinton's remarks about the 9/11 commission were about it going soft on Bush. You have not made even a weak case to support your "facts".
Here are a couple of indisputable facts:
1-9/11 happened on George Bush's watch and
2-George Bush never got bin laden.
You can't refute this, we've discussed this topic ad-nauseum and I'm finished here.

I am finished also, the facts speak for themselves, good day sir.

Thank you, same to you.

"...the recording doesn't come over and I've listened to it once before..."

The recording is not particularly clear, but all of Clinton*s words are there:

Clinton* was offered OBL by Sudan—stated we had no probable cause to arrest him or charges to hold him on, called OBL a "hot potato" and tried to make Saudi Arabia take him instead of us.

ALL lawyer-talk.

The reality is that OBL was offered-up on three occasions: The last occasion was when Clinton* had to "play-through a golf game", when Osama bin Laden was in Clinton*s CIA rifle sights!

Hence the book, written by a Clinton Secret Service officer.

"The Pathway to 9/11" was a Media analysis that made all other "fact-findings" obsolete. A telephone call from Clinton* had a televised segment removed that would have had America calling for Clinton*s arrest for sedition and "Malfeasance in Office".

But NONE of this had anything to do with the "Obama, You Scare Me" letter.

Just one part:

"You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don't understand it at its core."

Neither did Clinton* understand the military, who made the Yemeni bombing of the USS Cole inevitable. Clinton* gave us budget-cuts of "on-ocean-refueling" of our ships impossible.

What price a "budget-surplus", when military cutbacks helped seed the 1,000,000,000,000+ dollar 9/11 disaster as a result?

Obama is even more scary than Clinton*, and just yesterday crossed over into the polls' "negative job-performance" category.

Now, after six months, even I would take Clinton* back as President!

==8-O

:(

Obama in negative job performance category? What is this, the new, new math?

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president_obama_job_approv...

As to the poll, it was effective June 30th.
