"Operation Dry Water"

This weekend, to limit or stop boating while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, boaters will be under the scrutiny of the Coast Guard's "Operation Dry Water" on Massachusetts' lakes and ocean waters.

The New Hampshire's Marine Patrol will join in on NH waters—except that the NHMP will NOT be conducting any "checkpoints" on the water for enforcement purposes. Perhaps the "checkpoints" are not needed.

I'm observing that Lake Winnipesaukee has become a much safer and quieter place since instituting the Speed Limit Law of 45-MPH days, and 25-MPH nights.

Of course it has nothing to do with the lousy weather or the economy, Peace, right?
